Funeral services for Charles DeVries, 92, of Luverne, Minnesota, were held Friday at Luverne Christian Reformed Church with interment in Maplewood Cemetery.
He died Tuesday, August 3, 1993, at the Luverne Community Hospital.
Mr. DeVries was born March 4, 1901, in Arnemm, The Netherlands. At the age of 3, he moved to the United States with his parents and grew up in Seney and LeMars, Iowa.
On March 4, 1929, he married Ann Fiekema in Inwood, Iowa. They farmed in the Larchwood area before moving to Luverne in 1954, where they also farmed. He retired in 1962. His wife died in 1979.
Survivors include two sons, David of St. Charles, Missouri, and Lyle of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
